As an artist, Stacie Rose is an explorer and a collector. Travel has influenced her work, prompting a study of our universal sameness. Through exploration, she observes and interprets the relationship between objects, forms, color, humanity and structure. She collects notions of permanence and the effect of uncertain factors on those notions.
Her recent work is focused on organized systems and the unpredictable impact humanity and nature can have on those systems. A mixture of gestural mark making, process and hard geometric lines form a dichotomy between the immutable and the ethereal. This visual language is a study in opposing forces and how tension can lead to balance.
